ISO 22000:2005 specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.
ISO 14001 is the international specification for an environmental management system (EMS).
It specifies requirements for establishing an environmental policy, determining environmental aspects and impacts of our products and activities. and improve our environmental performance continually, and to implement a clear approach to achieving our environmental goals and to demonstrating that they have been achieved.
We have also been certified for the HACCP international food safety standards. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a systematic preventive approach to food safety that addresses physical, chemical and biological hazards as a means of prevention of contamination. HACCP is used by us to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions, known as Critical Control Points (CCP’s) can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realized. The system is used at all stages of our packaging unit.
Forest Garden Teas - Beyond Organic
Traditional tea plantations may look idyllic, but they are monocultures that tolerate little else beside the tea bush. Our tea is Forest Garden Organic, grown in a certified organic plantation which recreates the biodiversity of a rainforest. The tea grows amongst a profusion of living organisms which keep the growing crop's impact on the environment to a bare minimum. This is tea as it was meant to be grown.
In addition to the above, we are also certified for special customer needs such as Halal and Kosher.
