China could be a major importer in future

China could be a major importer of Ceylon tea in the future when conflicts in the Middle East and Europe would shift those markets to cheaper and lower quality tea elsewhere, said Tea Exporters Association Chairperson Ganesh Deivanayagam in an interview with The Daily Morning Business, while Ceylon tea is looking for “new markets that are emerging, by way of the population trends and changes within the demographics.” read more
